Writing
Buddy Scalera has been writing professionally since 1987, when he began his career as a newspaper reporter for the Ridgedwood News. He later went on to earn a degree in Journalism from Hofstra University. Scalera has written and edited copy for all types of situations, including websites, books, comics, videos, short films, newspapers, magazines, press releases, radio shows, CD-ROMs, interactive multimedia, podcasts, speeches, presentations, proposals, textbooks, professional journals, industry publications, and much more.

COPYWRITING
Buddy Scalera is an active and prolific copywriter. Currently he leads the content strategy team at Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide Interactive Marketing, an award winning marketing agency in New Jersey. As a copy lead, he writes and leads copywriters in the creation of websites, iPad apps, videos, eDetails, eBooks, search engine marketing ads, banner ads, blogs, and more.
Buddy also writes proposals (RFPs & RFIs), client presentations, whitepapers, POVs, columns, and more. When senior team leaders need something outlined, planned, or written, they turn to Buddy for crisp, focused copy creation.
These days, Buddy's copywriting is focused primarily on the needs of his pharmaceutical clients. He specializes in content development for scientific communications targeted at healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers.

BOOKS
Buddy has written and published 5 educational books that address the needs of creative professionals. These popular books include multimedia CD-ROMs, which Buddy programmed on his trusty Macintosh computer. Three of his books have been translated and reprinted into multiple languages. All are now available as ebooks.
